Murmuration

Murmuration is a dynamic outdoor installation comprised of dozens of small origami-like geometrical shapes that together resemble a swarm of birds moving together as a single ever-changing organic form.

 

Every other shape includes a slow pulsing LED light that provides the installation with a continued sense of motion. The shapes – installed denser in areas closer to the ground, and growing lighter as the structure starts to disband towards to the sky – are made of waterproof material and held in form by wires so that they create the illusion of magically floating in mid-air.
